Text Appearance

Font Size

Adjust the font size for the current outline in the Inspector, or use:

  • Mac: Cmd+Plus to increase, Cmd+Minus to decrease
  • iOS: Inspector → Font Size slider

Depth-Based Sizing

Top-level items are displayed at a larger size than nested items. This creates a visual hierarchy (H1–H5 style) that makes the outline easier to scan. Deep nesting gradually reduces the font size.

Highlight Colors

Apply a background color to an item or its note to draw attention to it:

  1. Tap the item context menu (long-press on iOS, right-click on Mac).
  2. Choose Highlight → select a color swatch.
  3. Choose None to remove highlighting.

Text Color

Similarly, you can set a custom text color for an item from its context menu → Text Color.

Custom Highlight Styles

In Settings → Highlight Styles, you can create your own named color styles and apply them the same way as the built-in styles.
